1st Post - Ram question..

Hi ..1st post!
Reading all the super high memory scores and mine is LOOOWW ! 1978.60 MB/s

So I thought to post a pix showing my memory setup for my older GForce 6100 board ..AMD 754 socket.

Any hope for me to improve here ?? ..without a major upgrade. I am not a gamer ...just want to improve memory performance if possible.

Are you having performance problems?
If not just leave it be. It it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The only real issue I have is the system bogs down with a number of programs being opened at the same time.
I am not sure if faster/better memory would actually help this, OR it may just be the fact that I have a older single core CPU.

Thanks for the reply.

A combination of things. The CPU, RAM, and Hard Drive. Each one will affect the process and of course will be more apparent when you throw more at it then it can handle at one time. I believe your CPU is more the cause of the slow down then your RAM. Your RAM is already a dozen times faster then the HDD but your CPU can only handle one task/program at a time.

Deep down I thought it might be the CPU I appreciate the confirmation.

Your memory score seems appropriate for the type and timings of your RAM and chipset.

BIOS POST configuration question
Hello, I have recently installed an internal card reader and started to notice a slower boot time. After sitting next to my PC during POST I witnessed that it was caused due to the BIOS going through each and every card slot (even when not occupied) and then it 'initializes' them. It persists...

Event ID 7001 - question before I even post
Good day, I've been experiencing some pretty serious, repeated crashes when booting my unit. Not an orthodox BSOD, just insta-kill, either just before logging on or just after. The system seems to get over it, at least if I reboot into safe mode, but I don't know that I've actually done...
