You have to boot into memtest, go into the BIOS by pressing F2 or Del keys its different for each machine.
Go into the boot menu and select the USB stick then it should load memtest.

Take their advice, do not install any driver 'fixing' programs, they cause a lot of issues.
They install buggy or outdated drivers that cause more problems than what you started with.

I forgot about HLPTech's post when he looked into the event log, in fact that explains a lot.
It might be a bad DIMM slot, move the stick(s) to the alternative slot(s)...
