RoasterMen - I did reinstall the graphics card driver in safe mode with networking. I could not however install the external display driver but it is working fine now.

I also reinstalled the video card driver from Nvidia it appeared to install successfully but the display still indicates no signal, same condition bit again OK in safe mode.
