Suggest you open an admin cmd prompt. Type:

bcdboot c:\windows /s c:

Then set DISK 2 as first in bios boot order.

Boot into win7.

The easiest thing in the world. Restore the image at original partition size, then extend the partition after you have booted into it.

Takes a couple of seconds with disk management.
