I'm trying to find a software that can compare files that are added, deleted or modified. Not necessarily done by installers only, but also by programs that download updates, etc....

I don't know whether that Logitech mouse has a built in rechargeable battery. If it does, I'd stay away from such product. It's much more practical to use a normal battery type of mouse, AA or AAA.
