hi did you do a fresh install on the hard drive in the computer? or did you put a hard drive in the computer that had already had win 7 installed? if so you really need to do a fresh install of win 7

how are you checking if the driver is up to date? through device manager? if so I would be checking hp support site to see if they have a current driver. from the sound of it probably not a driver...
