I did run CCleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) and have since tried the scan again in MSE.

The message still appears but a scan by MalwareBytes ...

I've just dusted off a Windows 7 laptop of mine and it seems that the two processes above grab as much CPU as possible, sometimes up to 80+ % and last for quite some time.
