I can confirm that if you boot the recovery disk or original install disk and choose the repair option it will corrupt the 4TB GPT disks as soon as it starts to scan for an image or OS to recover on...

Another peace of the puzzle

To protect my raid 0 boot disk I temporaraly used a regular hard disk as boot device. I used a system image to make it identical to my original boot disk (thanks MS to include this nice feature).
