Thank you for your advice and for helping me out. So I installed windows 8.1 professional, genuine (one of the perks of being a computers student) and installed all the drivers on Acer's website....

I would like your opinion on this. Would you think that it is worth installing windows 8.1? I mean, performance wise. Will it run at least as good as W7?
