But, I there will be no one at the home computer. I can get the ID and password using TV. I need it to connect without anybody at the home computer.

TeamViewer can be setup so that you can log in to a remote machine that's unattended.

From the startup dialog box, click on "Configure permanent access to this computer" and you'll see this:

Yes, TeamViewer will work perfectly with a pre-assigned password that you have set up. Just as long as there are NO power outages that shut your computer off or that it does not re-boot to your desktop. I use TeamViewer daily from home to work & from work to home
