3ds Max 'was unable to start' (0xc000007b)
Hey guys.
I've been trying to get 3ds Max working for quite a bit now. I used it before and it was fine, but it was before W7 came out, I think I was on the beta or RC version back then.
Anyway, whenever I try to install 3ds max (I've tried 2008, 2009, and now 2010) and when I try to launch it, I get this error:
---------------------------
3dsmax.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
It's really pissing me off. Nothing else, no splash screen, just that error, that's it. Compatibility mode doesn't work in either 32bit or 64bit versions.
I've installed all DirectX related things and updated them. I have .net framework 4. I installed all the updates and hotfixes from the official Autodesk site. No change, at all, except the fact that all these slowly chipped away my C drive space (I have below 10 GB left, stupid 40GB SATA drive) despite that I install my large programs onto another drive, including Autodesk software.
Yeah, I could really use 3ds right now. It's been like this for a while, I gave up a few weeks ago, now my friend encouraged me to try again, so yeah.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
