A Guy .. I was afraid to use the JavaRA to do the uninstalling of old Java..
I thought there might be a chance it would take my 1.6.20 along for the ride also.
So instead , I used Revo-uninstaller to remove the older version of Java. 1.6.0.2
    Hope this is ok.

Revo should work pretty well and get most if not all of it. Good thinking. :)

JavaRa just removes the (defunct) old files when you check that option. Quite safe to use. Will not touch your "new" set-up.

Agreed on both replies. Run PSI and see if it detects any older insecure Java, I think you are all set now though

M'Lady, you can always try to update, if it doesn't work, or hangs, you will still have the version you have. I do understand you not wanting to try it though

A Guy it doesn't seem to want to update today.. it's set to auto update , once a Month on the 7th.
so I guess we should just leave it alone ?
