    Syncing Folder Between Drives


    I am looking for a free application for syncing folder between drives in real time, W7 & XP
      My Computer

    You'll want to give Microsoft SyncToy 2.1 a try.

    It's not real-time, but it does the job for me. The first time you do a sync, it could take a few minutes, depending on how many file you're talking about. Thereafter, it's almost instant...

    P.S. Where in South Africa are you? Me, I'm in sunny Freestate...

    I was using Microsoft SyncToy 2.1 and it works great the only problem is it is not real time. I need it so if a file is changed on location A it will be changed on location B at the same time.

    Short of using a RAID setup that mirrors the entire drive, I'll say that I've not heard of a facility that can do that. And even so, RAID Mirroring wan't designed to be used that way.

    For example, you have 2 drive, both 1TB. Individually, you'll have 2TB of space. But if you use RAID to mirror them, then you'll only have 1TB, as the second drive is used as the mirror for backup purposes. It's still the closest thing I can think of that'll do what you want....

    I just found this one and it is also free and it looks great Free backup software - Backup files with FBackup
