    Picasa 3.6

I've always had Picasa working on my pc for a long time. For some reason I download it and it hangs on me.

I get the box to install and then it just dissapears. I don't get anything else.

Can anyone suggest what to do? Where could it be hanging?

Are you downloading it as an update or installing it with no previous copy installed?

If you are upgrading, try uninstalling Picasa via the control panel and then re downloading it and installing it a fresh.

If you need any help doing this please ask.

I'm actually intalling it as a brand new install. I used to run Win Vista and then wiped it off and started with a clean Win 7. Everything loaded great except for Picasa. I'm doing the cc cleaner and will try again now.

Please be wary when using CCleaner, it can (and often does) cause more problems than it solves.

You may want to try running it in Compatibility Mode with Vista.

That might just be a one time thing, such as the installer corrupting itself or who knows how many variables.

Make sure Windos is up to date.

    When exactly does it hang?

The moment you open the installer or...?

How about saving it to your desktop, then run as admin or troubleshoot compatibility.
