Another way to terminate the Nero 9 process without Task Manager?

    Hey everyone,

So here's the deal. I have Nero 9 on my computer (yeah I know everyone hates it, but it came free with the computer). Anyhow, for some reason this program hangs when I try to burn multiple discs in a round. The expected behavior (how it worked with Nero 8 on my last computer) is that every time a disc is finished, the tray pops out and a message asks me to insert the next disc. Well, with Nero 9 on this computer, the tray does pop out, but pops right back in again, and the program hangs eternally. The process cannot be ended through Task Manager (just does nothing), or even through Process Explorer (crashes). The only way to get rid of it is to do a force shutdown with the power switch on the computer case.

No matter what I do, this program simply won't close. If there is a more powerful way to terminate processes besides Task Manager, I'd love to hear about it!

You could create a batch command line and kill the process (is that SMS-speak?)
Or get the program Kill Process: Download Kill Process 1.1.2.10 Free - A small utility that will allow you to kill your processes like a task manager - Softpedia

Hey, I found this afterward. Five programs, but included my idea for command line batch file:

I just went through and tried all those ideas, none of them worked, sorry. There must be a way to get this process to terminate ... !

EDIT: OK, I just managed to force logoff to kill the program. It still seems like there should be a better way though...
