Windows 7: standalone blacklist/restricted sites importer

standalone blacklist/restricted sites importer

for xp and 2000 biss made a nice program that managed the hosts file. i need such a manager and can't find one for windows 7.

i know spybot has a hosts feature, and so i installed it and integrated their file, but I like to use several files {(steve martins, hpguru, and msmvps, as well as spybot). i know it can drain dns but I haven't had an issue.

i used to use kas av too. it had a nice blacklist feature. I can't find a standalone for it nor in the free anti-virus programs (commercial versions just don't seem worth their salt anymore). I tried to find a way to make my own list with opensbi but it appears its neither here nor there as far as blacklists are concerned. spybot doesn't seem to have a way to append their list, and use that easy integrate button either. Then again, what I'm really talking about is taking these 1000+ entry lists and putting them in restricted sites, like the immunize feature with spybot and spyware terminator. I haven't found a bulk importer for this purpose. I'm not sure a blacklist would be the same thing as an bulk importer for internet explorer (or preferably flock because I can say IE isn't stacking up to pancakes either). I had been told that restricted sites has a config file, but haven't been able to find it and i'm unsure if this would also apply to flock.

Also thanks for the process lasso link, not sure if its having issues with 7 or not I've had a few crashes since installing it and sysinternals peid says it has a packer in it. Google searches have said its a legitimate packer, but the wording scares ya you know?
