Security Program Prevents Windows 7 Login. Must Disable

    Hello,

I upgraded to Windows 7 RC yesterday, but now that I finished upgrading, I can't login through Asus Security Protect Manager. It gives a 'server error' when I try and login through the fingerprint recognition or password.

However, I was able to login through Safe Mode in Windows 7. Does anyone know how I can bypass the Asus Security or disable it? I can't uninstall it through Safe Mode.

Also, there's no System Restore point I can roll back to. Thanks.

ummm.... i dont have any experience with FPreaders.... but i am going to take an educated guess and say that this is in the bios settings maybe. You can access your bios usually by hitting Delete during p.o.s.t check (where it displays your cpu, memory, etc). Navigate around somewhere there in the bios and look for settings related to the FP recognition... may be around the same place the "boot up" password is located... or integrated peripheals is another spot. Make sure you hit F10 to save any changes.

Drivers? Have you installed them? My computer doesn't even recognize my ready until I have installed them.

    Can you uninstall it?

Start –> Control Panel –> Uninstall a Program –>Right click ASUS Security Protect Manager –>Uninstall -> reboot

Nope. I can't uninstall it through Safe Mode. This is the message when I try and type in my password during normal mode:

"The server is not responding properly. Verify that ASUS Security Protect Manager server is properly installed on the target server"

I'll try reinstalling drivers in safe mode.

OK. I got rid of that damn program. I added a new item to the registry that allowed me to start up the windows installer.

How to make Windows Installer work in Safe Mode

    Thanks for your help!
