    LightScribe Fans

    Hey!
Picked up a new Sansung odd and I figgured get one that supports LightScribe.
1st. Question; Why doesn't LightScribe.com have an installer that lets you select either or both labeler apps? you would think, well I can see d/l's for template packs but jeeze. Shortly after looking into it I checked out CDBurnerXP's labeling tab with LightScribe function. That, is cool. helps keep the list of burning apps down, although I do like iso-burn's simplicity. The Drive (oem) came with a disk & Nero 9. Now, luckily the disk was busted or I may have been tempted to install it. Bought a 20 pk Memorex at Staples on sale, well K-Mart didn't have any and the closest Chinamart is terrible. Noticed a double burn on these produces a darker burn, even though the single was ok. Alot of forum posts suggest Verbatim disks burn better.
    So what do you prefer?
Some of my coworkers were impressed with the image. Ok there's the `Scribe burn time, but how bad is that if you got something on the grill or an x-files episode cued up? It's still greener then the paper stick-on lables. Meh, I just use a sharpie I hear alot. Fine, but LightScribe seems cool. A custom way to present a burn. Common color is a light gold. What am I missing, why isn't there a white disk? Just thinking a black n white - greyscale would show up better.

Wow, I need a coffee just to read through that. Anyway, I have a version of SureThing that lets me do my labels, but I was unaware that CDBurnXP has a tab for it too. I'll have to give that a shot. As for the software, I only install the Lightscribe drivers, and that's it...nothing else from that website.

As for discs, I use only HP or Verbatim, purchased at MicroCenter. I always use the "best" quality option when burning, and have found that both brands look the same right away, but the color fades on the HP discs in time.
