More open with pane or (pain?!)

I downloaded an application that had the form "name.exe.ps"
I believe it should open with Adobe Reader 9.3, but it would not.

Reading that GhostScript is a good alternative to Adobe Reader for Postcript items, I downloaded same.

    Problem

I cannot add GhostScript to the list of Open Withs, having browsed to it via the full path.

I must be doing something wrong. Please help.

Downloading executable files (.EXE) is generally a very BAD idea because they can harbor all kinds of Viruses and other malware.

If Adobe can't open this, there is the distinct possibility that it is just an executable that someone tagged ".PS" onto -- either to hide the fact that it is an executable, or to get it through filters that automatically reject .exe files.
