The only stuff I am totally prepared to pay for is FL Studio, Corel PSP and Sony Sound Forge... Everything else is either free or open source :)

NGNL- Thanks for the great alternative program resource! There is so much material there that I've got it bookmarked in Opera so I can continue to check it out later.

I don't mean to sound greedy, but do you have any more juicy links to share with us?

What can be more juicy than this website? It'll save you tons of time Googling other "free download" websites and/or searching for particular software alternatives to what you might have, not to mention that you can add your own apps if you have an account. :)

I gave up Googling. These days I Scroogle which enables me to search by encrypted proxy thus avoiding Google sending the information in my browser along with the subject of the search to all of the websites listed in the results.

    Hey,
Ive seen a few threads asking for alternatives for Photoshop or Microsoft word ect, so i decided to show you guys a website that shows you TONS of free alternatives to any program you can think of, paid or free.
I was looking for a website like this forever, and now ive finally found it.
    Here it is guys:

Alternative software and apps to your PC (Windows, Linux), Mac, iPhone, Android, Web/Online and other platforms. - AlternativeTo.net

I think its a great website, just search for whatever program you want such as "Photoshop" and free alternatives will pop up.

    Hope you like it.

    thanks!
