    Introducing Ownership Changer Application

This is my first application I have created. If you guys want, take a look at it. Tell me what you think.

    Description

This program allows you to Take Ownership or Set Permissions of a file/folder without the need to find and type all the commands.

    New in Version 2.8!
    • Added Aero rendering to multiple dialogs (About, License, Readme).
    • Added GPU rendering to handle DWM.
    • Cleaned up sources.

    Known Bugs
    • GUI rendered windows will not work in Non-Aero desktop themes.
    • GUI font rendering is not functional at this time and will be fixed in version 3.0. (Font looks horrible in certain aero colors)

Please report any bugs to me via PM.

UPDATE: Temporarily removed downloads until update is released. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Taking ownership of files with the program worked great. However, I tried to take ownership of the "C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows" folder, but the owner was still TrusterInstaller afterwards.

Hmm. Do you have another computer to test it on? I tested it on my end and it seemed fine for both this desktop and laptop.

As a test did you test taking ownership of that specific folder?

Yes, I checked prior to taking ownership.

    Before > Owner: TrustedInstaller
    After > Owner: Steven

Its entirely possible it was just a fluke, could you try re-running it if you haven't already?

It must be a issue with Windows 7 SP1 beta installed for it not working on folders. I just tested it in a 32-bit Windows 7 Enterprise VM without SP1 beta and it took ownership of the same folder above without issue.

I'll take another look into the code shortly, also will install SP1 and test it again. Will update when I have more to say. :)

    Howdy.

I have SP1 on the main rig and tried in VB and whether I type the path in by hand or not it still won't "take" C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows

    This from VB.
