I hope that helps since now I see that bring up a small popup that disappears right away where the one for the ST program was always seen when first starting Windows up here. It's definitely a lightweight program so nothing to worry about so far.

A quick question, how can Firefox x64 (Shiretoko) be 64 bit if it installs in Program Files(x86) and not Program Files?

The link in the list is to a 3rd party compiler who compiles 64-bit versions from source of both firefox and thunderbird.

    7zip file associations didn't work.
that happens if you have UAC enabled

disable UAC then apply its file associations.... you can enable UAC again after that

I solved this by running 7-Zip as Administrator and making the file associations. After that 7-Zip is associated just fine even for non-Administrator usage.
