    AviSynth

For the adventurous types interested in video encoding, there's a 64 bit version of AviSynth:

    SEt's Avisynth 2.5.8 MT compiled for *X86_64*, Latest Build 4/16/2010 - Doom9's Forum

It's one of those tools that many video encoders use to do filtering, cropping etc..
There are several encoders that are migrating to 64 bits also such as x264.

Seems like it's still at the stage for people who want to play around and try to get the chain of 64 bit programs to work. If they get it smoothed out though, it should deliver some of the promise of 64 bit speed. It's my understanding it's implemented using Intel compiler to utilize inline asm for speed.

I really appreciate this list. As the native 64-bit programs grows, I hope this list will too. I want to especially thank whoever reported MYDefrag. I have been using it for a couple months now and it is a great defrag program. It is not as pretty as some, but it definitely gets the job done and is very customizeable(as far as optimization goes). I don't mind having an ugly interface if the program is this good, light and fast. I love the different daily, weekly and monthly optimizations and the fact that it allows you to choose between whether or not it is a System disk or a Storage disk when optimizing. Thanks for this one. It is one of my new favorites and will be installed on every PC I have. Best of all, IT"S FREE!

mega props to whoever posted PREDATOR. Great little program for very secure desktop in an multiperson work and play enviroment. I just yank out my USB key and BAM! locked down. Not only that i have a screensaver lock .

paranoid, maybe, but one cannot be too secure with their data these days.

    MD5Hash 2.6

This is my first real 64 bit app posted for public download. It's called MD5Hash.
It's strictly x64 native and will only run on Windows 64 bit.

It computes MD5Sum for files to check your downloads.
The best way to use is just click your download folder
Date Modified in Explorer or other file manager to group
your new downloads. Select, then drag & drop onto the
    dialog.

It's not the fastest checksum program around, but I can drop
a 1/2 dozen 8 GB files on it and it doesn't choke. On my
Phenom I quad core, it tends to use about 1/2 a core.
Should not hog your system. Also you can bail
out of long operations by pressing the Cancel Button.

About Button, pressing F1 key, or pressing OK Button
for no reason shows About Box with optional
    donation mechanism. :)

It is free for you to use at your own risk.
You may download from my page here:

    Faves Downloads

edit: updated to 1.3. I removed the About Button since F1 does that and substituted a Clear Button to clear the results edit box.

edit: updated to 1.4. Most errors are now just reported in the output EditBox rather than stopping the job. A stand-alone 32 bit version is also included in the download.

edit: latest version is 2.3. Now it will process folders recursively searching up to a maximum job queue size of 4096 files. Also has a /main switch. Launch the first copy with /main switch, then when you use Explorer Context Menu, the command line is sent to the main copy, rather than having multiple copies open.

btw when specifying a param on the command line, only use one. Either /main, or the name of a file or folder. The entire line after MD5Hash.exe is read as one string. For that reason you don't need to surround file or folder names with spaces with quotes. If quoted, file or folder processing will fail with an error.

    For example:
MD5Hash c:\My Folder Name With Spaces

Also it's now available for download on Softpedia.

edit: For Windows7 if you have glass enabled, it uses a semi-transparent dialog.
It monitors for composition toggle so even if you kill transparency or disable Aero while the program is running, it should adjust.

Here's a screen shot of it on my Win7 machine:

i would like to add Adobe Square. Adobe Labs - Downloads: Flash Player "Square" Preview Release. It is a native 64-bit flash player for 64-bit browsers. It is still in beta so I don't know if it can be added, but I have been using it for about a week with IE9 x64 and it seems to work OK. There are some bugs, but it is definitely faster than using 32-bit browser on your 64-bit system and even if it's not added to the list at least this post will be here so people will know and can download and try it out themselves.
