Recurrent problem opening links

THis morning I was looking a website to view a demonstaration video that was linked within the website. I clicked the link and got a message that "Internet Explorer couldnt display the page", There was a diagnostic option that I clicked and was absolutely no help.

I disabled my virus program and tried again with the same results. I have a vista computer next to this one and I tried again using vista, the video ran immediately. I tried again with W7 and nothing. I can recall seing this happen before with win7 and have no idea how to correct the problem?

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a workaround or a fix?

7 Ultimate x64 RTM 7600.16385

I had a similar problem when first installed w7 7127 x64, also when using the msn messenger and clicked to open mailbox, right after it displayed a " IE Not Responding" message or the "Couldn't display the page", thank God I only used IE for downloading Firefox!

Have you tried watching the video with FF or another web browser??

Lots of people (including me) suffer from a peculiar problem, I saw people complaining in MS Answers forum, here in this forum and in real life. Situation: You are 100% sure that your Optical drive (CD/DVD/BD) is OK, but Windows 7 refuses it to recognize. Sometimes it says it needs a firmware...
