Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 ISO problems?

    Hi,

Has anyone been having problems scanning from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 bootable ISO recently?

Yesterday I succesfully downloaded and burnt the ISO, and booted to the point of running the scan. However, when attempting a scan it reported an error code "80032" or similar. I tried updating the malware defintions, but despite it actually downloading and reporting 100% download, the database is reported as "corrupted". I tried several times with the same result and could still not scan. I also tried rolling back the database, but without any success.

I also tried downloading the ISO (kav_rescue_10.iso) again (Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10) and burning on 4x speed to new media, but exactly the same error occurred.

In the end I was able to use a bootable F-Secure, but I am intrigued to know why the Kaspersky Rescue Disk would not work.

    Thanks,
    Golden

Going to give it another crack using this build location:

    Index of /devbuilds/RescueDisk10/

If anyone can offer observations, please feel free to chime in.

You are not alone. I get the same error. No answers. I used Bit defender.

    Hi,

Just checking in to see if anyone besides HammerHead and myself have also had problems getting Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 working once it has booted.

Anyone managed to run this successfully in the last week or so?

    Regards,
    Golden

    Ver 10.0.29.2

Eureka (or whatever you are supposed to say). No data base corrupted message. Naturally it said out of date. Started an update and could not connect. Fumbled around until I found my lan card. I have a dual lan and it had configed the one that is not use. Selected the correct one and connected and updated. What is confusing at this point is I have two SSD disks. I could not see either one in the scan selection menu nor could I call the file manager (supplied on the disk) and find them. Now I found the tree to be unfamiliar and I might not know what I am looking at.

    Raid

After some reading it appears that Kas has a problem with raid drives. The drives that are not found when I boot are not in a raid config but the controller is running in raid mode. I wonder if I can change the bios to AHCI with out borking any thing.
