Anything better than 7's Sticky Notes?

Do you guys know any program better than Windows 7's Sticky Notes? The StickyNote 9.0 of Tenebril was the first one that caught my eye. It has some realistic 3D stuff and all, but then I have to spend some cash for it. If you guys know any freewares, that would be great.

Not one to recommend I'm afraid, rather avoid. Post-it Digital Notes. Had it a few years ago just to show off all the desktop clutter to my mates. Deleted it before the trial ended. Shoddy, intrusive software, so what if it's an official '3M Post-It' product, I've got the real version (paper) on my desk

Paper seems to work fine, doesn't it?

7 Sticky Notes I like for a couple of reasons.

First, it's great for reminders. You can create a note, hide it, and set a date and time for it to pop up, and even shake so you notice it. If you set it to stay on top, it's even harder to miss.

Additionally, it can be configured to backup its database at regular intervals, and you can even specify how many backups to keep.

When I was running XP, I used Tenebril's old free StickyNotes, which was OK, though backups had to be done manually, and I needed them since the database would occasionally get corrupted. It won't install on 7 x64, and the new pay version is a disaster.

I've been using 7 Sticky Notes now for a few months, and I have to agree with the testimonials from other users when they say it's so good, it's incredible it's free. It's actually donationware, and worth a tip. I just hope the developer keeps on top of it, as he has, so far.

Sticky Notes
Recently updated from Vista to 7 on 2 machines (both Lenovo tablet PC's). I had several pre-existing sticky notes and use the program often. When I try to launch sticky notes in 7, I get a "corrupt metadata" error message. Same thing on both machines. Need suggestions for a fix. Thanks.
