What's a good program to take registry snapshots?

I'm sick of going into the registry each time I delete a program and having to delete remnants of the program. Therefore, I want to have a program that can take registry snap shots so I can delete the program (completely from my computer) if I don't like it. Any suggestions?

RegShot could be used as such a program.

But I would be careful about anything you do with the registry.

    Try RevoUninstaller Free?

Why not export a backup of the registry, have a look at this tutorial at the link below; be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

I have used Revo for over a year and in my opinion it is no better than add/remove a program as it still leaves traces of the program in your registry (even in advanced mode).

I am always careful. I only edit things in my registry that I know I have deleted, and if I don't know what the name is I will look it up or ask around a forum.

ERUNT is a FREE and good Windows registry backup and restore utility. Backup your registry first before modifying/deleting the remnants of a program. If something goes wrong, just restore. Since you're on Windows 7, it is necessary to read the FAQs first.
