Have you tried Revo Uninstaller? It's a great uninstalling program. Sounds like it could be a virus or something also, so I would run a virus scan.

Please update your anti virus, Install Malwarebytes Anti Malware and Super Anti Spyware. Up date both and run them. MAM and SAS are free. Both are on demand only when there free. You will have to tell them to update and to run. Run all three one at a time. Doing these things might take care of your problem or just be the start of working on your problem. Let us know what happens.

Windows 7 Ultimate x86

Either use a system restorepoint from before you installed it or try HijackThis
The problem is most likely a BHO (browser "help" object)
Just don't click around and don't let the program fix the problem unless you're absolutely sure you know what you're doing...
At least set a restore point (b/c the fixes alter your registry)
rather post back the given log file.

Edit: Oh I see, you got it sorted out...Good

SearchQU Toolbar
I have reference to searchqu toolbar in program files, and when it pops up it causes my PC to run erratically. The file is in program files, but cannot be deleted. I cannot find mention of it in the registry. Help!
