Make record button appear in Real Player

I found something on another forum and it is the only way I can download from Youtube. I had the setting right in Real Player to open after 7 seconds or tried mouse over...still nothing. the button used to appear but quit within the last month.

    This worked for me.

When you find a video you want to download on YouTube, copy the URL.

Open up Real Player. I have a shortcut on my desktop, or open it from the All programs ball.

When Real Player opens, there is a little search bar to the right. type anything in there. Example: zxcvb and enter. An address bar appears. Paste the URL from the video you want to download. The video will open up and the Download button appears and you can download.

You can continue to browse through YouTube using Real Player. It is the only way I open YouTube now.

This will be the best link ref "RP only downloads to 92% then disappears" Installation fails or freezes
Its the most compehensive advice from them.......but still didn't work for me but I think you should give it a try as it may work for you.
As stated in my previous reporting of this fault......every day for approx 1week I went to the RP page, 2-3 times a day and tried downloading RP......then out of the blue, about a week later.....it installed correctly !!!! I had done nothing to my computer to affect the download over that week of trying !
Would also strongly suggest you go to Facebook.....RealPlayer.....where you can Post your problem in front of the "whole world", and usually get some form of advice, within 12 hrs, less weekends, and just keep returning to them every time you have completed their recomendations to fix the fault and it still exists.....go back to them for more advice.....don't give up !!
