Desktop and Start menu icons not working

    I can open command prompt, but am unable to type anything in. Cursor just flashes. Keyboard is working, as I am typing this. Lol.



    E-rebuild has no effect.


    Scannow result. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log.


    Netuser (in elevated command prompt). ‘netuser’ is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.


    Icon cache rebuild – no effect

    Command prompt not working. I type in the window but nothing appears.... There is only a flashing cursor. No path or anything.

anyone recommend some software that backs up the destop icons and start menu? I got this laptop which comes with win 10. don't really like it. considering replacing it with win7.
