can this be used in the same way as GHOST was used? I want to copy a partation to a flat file (4-5gig) and if I need to restore it I can just boot from floppy and restore it.

This application is similar to Ghost, you can create bootable disc with it, that you can use to boot your computer and restore it. Usually the whole drive and/or partition is compressed to about 40%.
