Sweet Software Programs

What are some sweet programs that you use? What do you use it for?

I am just trying to get ideas for some sweet programs.

That is quite a long list. Is there any that are "highly" recommended by anyone?

'sweet' is a bit vague...

If I have to pick up the one sweet favourite program out of all variety that fill my system drive, it is Tech Smith's Snagit screen capture utility.

Anything, Really.

I guess more security than anything, but maybe some something I can edit a large number of music files or somethings.

I tried a lot of the "free" programs from the list and they just seemed like a waste.
