.net framework 4.0 wont install

    .net framework 4.0 wont install


    i recently uninstalled .net framework for a CLR error 80004005 and when i tried to re-install it about halfway through it starts to rollback and says "installation did not succeed"
    because a "Fatal error during installation" i have tried many methods but none have helped

    I have the exact same problem. I've searched all over and no one seems to have an actual solution. Someone please help. I'd like to stop manually updating DayZ :P

    Blairsingh found a fix in the other thread. Go to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET and then rename the "assembly" folder to "assembly 2". Then try the 4.0 standalone installer again and it should work. Good luck!
