And HD-DVD lost so why would they not support the choice that consumers made? From a business stand point it makes no sense not to license windows for BD playback. They charge us enough per copy of windows that they should at the very least support common media forms out of the box.

Connect my pc to a Samsung Blue-Ray DVD player
I have connect my pc to the Samsung player using an ethernet cable to the pc and blue-ray. It then displays devices on the tv it shows my pc and users. When I hit enter on the Blue-Ray to access the PC I get this message. Request cannot be completed. MEDIA PLAY will be returned to the main screeen

blue ray player trouble
i dont know if im in the right place. my question is, why wont my blu ray player play some of the new blu ray dvds? my comp is an hp dv7-1262us laptop. some play some dont. ive tried different drivers but still cant figure what im doing wrong.
