Windows 7: Skype

Skype

Using Win 7 Professional.

I installed Skype on my laptop last week so that I could participate in a meeting.

Whenever I turn on my laptop, Skype is loaded in the background. Because I do not foresee using Skype on a regular basis, I must manually turn it off by positioning the cursor onto the icon in the tray and click "quit".

Is there a way to stop Skype for automatically being launched?

Use of Skype
I have done a search of the Forum but didn't find anything relevant. I wonder if members of this Forum have considered using Skype purely for the social side of the Forum. I would not advocate it's use for helping others as that to me defeats the object of the Forum. Just a thought. Some members...
