    duplicate & same files searcher

Now I did it so it checked all the files. then I did it so it unchecked all the first files. Then I deleted them. Or am I supposed to delete them all. What am I supposed to do exactly. I did a restore point before deleting them. But I would like to know exactly what I should do after I do the scan.

I like that disk space scan. It works great. But I can not afford the pro version. That is the version that does the duplicate scanning. That is what I want the rest of it is really not that useful.
Try this duplicate finder. It is amazing and free. It will do a byte by byte compare so if you have "My Fav Song.mp3" and "My Fav All Time Song.mp3" and they are the same SONG it does not matter that the name does not match it will still show you it is a duplicate.

The interface is a bit hard to use but once you get it, it works very well.

    Enjoy!
How exactly do I delete the files after it finds them. Do I just delete all of them. Or do I check all then uncheck all the first ones. I am not sure. Is there some that I should make sure not to delete or what. I noticed that It found a lot of my pictures. Are they definitely duplicates.

My question is why? I do not trust any duplicate file finders. They will find a ton of Java files for instance, that have mostly similar file names, but are indeed different files. I've seen many a post of people royally hosed by duplicate file finders. I would only use them on your personal picture or video files. Even pictures in system files, if removed will break the programs GUI. Just MHO, A Guy

I will take your word for it. I was thinking that. But I figured why would they make them if they still did that to your computers. But I will now not do it at all. thank you.
