    Temperature Monitor Software

I am using CPUID to monitor my temperature for my CPU, HD, etc. I would like to try another monitor. What are some good free ones? Thanks,

SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
    and speccy.

Many here use and like Speed Fan.
A few use Speccy. Speccy gives a lot of other information, too.

Depends on your hardware. The only monitor I've found that will show fan speeds on my HP Pavilion M9515y is:

CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

I have AMD CPUs and have found
    http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

useful for core temps and loads. Many of the free monitoring programs are either Intel or AMD centric. Check out the hardware compatibility list before installing esp. if it installs a driver and requires a reboot.

Not sure how well Coretemp or Real Temp will work on a P4, as it isn't a core CPU. Try this one as well, might work for you:

    For Pentium 4
SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

should do the trick. It worked on my HP PCs with Pentium 4 CPUs.
