I believe that the wizard can only transfer files and settings, not installed programs.

That's a real problem in switching from a 32 bit OS to Win7 X64, as that requires a clean install. Pre-installed stuff would be lost, if it's the sort of software that requires installation. (Most does.)
Ah your right, says "Transfers Files and Settings". I never did the transfer programs because I enjoy starting clean and reinstalling only those things I actually used often on a new system. I guess I just always assumed it would. THough thinking about it that would be somewhat of a nightmare to pull off codewise
