    I checked my add/remove program and I found "Bandisoft MEPG-1 Decoder".

    What program uses this? I did not install this myself.

    i know that but do you know what program would installed this? According to add/remove programs, the decoder was installed on the dec. 27. I only installed I thing that day, which was a game.

    A game is exactly the kind of program that would need to install a codec. It's cut scenes are probably mpeg 1 video files...

    Sorry did not read your post correctly. Maybe the game you installed needs this codec to work and was bundled with it.
