hi ulcer123, and welcome to sevenforums,

help us to help you by filling in more details of your system spec.

    what soundcard are you using?

are you using AISO sound drivers for protools?

what device are you using in the windows control panel sound applet?

    no problem, ulcer123,

for your system specs, check out this link: System Info - See Your System Specs

for the other info, i'm sorry but i forget exactly where in protools you select the audio driver - it's been so long since i used it.

check your windows control panel >> sound to see what the default windows playback device is.

i'm off to play skyrim for a bit, then i'm off to bed, so i won't be able to reply to you for a good few hours, but if you can supply the above info, there are many other knowledgeable forum users who may see this thread and will be able to offer you some help before i get back.

You mean when pro tools is running? Because then their might be some thing in Pro Tools which makes that Pro Tools sort of "Claims" the audio control making any other audio action impossible.

Anyway, it will be difficult to help you if we don't know what sound card you have...
