Yes Congrats, im not sure how big your collection is, but having the scanner working has to be so much faster vs manually, Depending of course how much information scanning them puts in the computer. Let me know how it goes, really interested in knowing since its software i recommended.

Perhaps you can tell me...when I had the Movie Collector scan my entire collection, it placed a link right in the data window with the cover image, etc. on the main window, but when I scanned the barcode first, then looked for a link, the only one that I found was by opening a secondary window by clicking on the disk image in the window above that. It works, but is not as convenient as I would like. I know you don't have a scanner yet, but with the variety of means of entering movie files and data, I thought you might know how to add the link where it should be?
I have to revise my appraisal of using a scanner on this software. After going through a couple of genres, I think that maybe 2-3 movies were actually found via barcode. For vast majority when you scan a code, the software pops a window saying that it couldn't find it in it's database, and request typing in the title. When you do that, it is the same thing as if you started out by typing in the title without the barcode in the first place...save your money.
I'm getting somewhat annoyed at this software, because I finally finished scanning all of the DVDs into it, then copied all of the files and folders containing the database, thumbnails, images, etc. and brought them to my desktop. I was able to import the database itself, so that all of the scanned entries appear properly, except that they don't link to the cover images. I can manually link all of these again, but that is a tedious prospect.
I did post a question about this on the Collectorz forum, which I'm waiting for a response to, but considering how unhelpful that they were last time, I'm not very optimistic about this time. I figured that surely that whatever information that was necessary for all of this data to be properly linked would be contained in one or another of the program's files, but it appears that I may be wrong.
This has me even more concerned about whether linking to the actual video files would be retained, when going back to the other PC. Some might think that it would only be necessary to use the program on one PC, but in my situation that really isn't possible...or at the very least, not very convenient.
