Microsoft Power Point Viewer 2007 (MSPPV)

Re: Microsoft Power Point Viewer (MSPPV) 2007 version

Downloaded and installed from the recommended site.

    Download details: PowerPoint Viewer 2007

Am getting a message that the file: MSVCR80.dll is missing and after reinstalling the MSPPV the viewer still does not work. I simply wish to VIEW a ppt presentation (file extension *.ppt) sent to me for review.

Please advise with specific instructions, am using Windows 7.

this problem comes with one of the power point viewer 2007 update.
    solution will be
to manually select not to install that update.
or to get power point viewer 2010
    Download details: PowerPoint Viewer
that has no such problems as far as i know.

I copied and pasted the missing file MSVCR80.dll to the sys32 folder in windows 7 and the PPT viewer (2007 version) works fine. The file can be found in many locations by searching for it on your pc.

OK,first off I am a 12 o'clock flasher,ie: computer idiot,I have an Acer Aspire 7741Z-5731,I am trying to get power point.Every download I have tried keeps coming back with requesting a 25 character product code.If you know Acer laptops ,you know they come pre loaded with no discs, and none of the numbers on the box are 25.,I can close out the dialouge box and it will work, but no volume. Can anybody help a brother out here???

This thread relates to the VIEWER only. You apparently are dealing with problems related to registering the Power Point program that comes with or is separate from MS Office.

    The VIEWER requires no registration.

The 25 digit key you have to buy - costs about $80.
