HP Support is telling me that Windows 7 Scanner Drivers will not be available for my brand new HP PhotoSmart C6380 all-in-one for 6 weeks.

My Install Disk would not work when trying to install the new printer into the brand new HP Windows 7 PC.
I am using Windows Fax-Scan to scan items and I don't like it near as much as the HP Solution Center application.

    Compatibility Mode

I have an HP Officejet Pro L7580 all-in-one with print, scan, fax. I lost the scan capability after installing Win 7 and the HP software would not install because it detected a non-supported operating system (Win 7 ). I used the procedure to set compatibility mode mentioned in this thread and the HP software installed without a problem. I set the installation software for Vista compatibility and to run as an administrator. Hope this helps.

I called HP Support and a real nice lady in Pakistan took the time to install everything online.
    Everything works perfectly now.

Just to say that the Vista drivers worked for me for W7 32bits along with adjusting the compatibility with Vista in the properties windows. I have Officejet 4315 and the scanner wasnt working and now does.

I got the drivers here Software & Driver Downloads HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One Printer - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Just choose for your (Vista) version 32 or 64 bits and then download in the link below which says Driver - Product installation software.

Or just go directly here for Windows 7 32 bits: HP Full Feature Software and Drivers HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One Printer - HP Customer Care (United States - English) and download the file AIO_CDB_Full_Non-Network_enu_NB.exe

Or even more directly just click here to get the driver (for Vista/W7 32 bits):

    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...ork_enu_NB.exe
