Dont use programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

I downloaded it and it failed to read the mdf/mds file also when i try to uninstall it from add/remove in CP the program is listed but it gives error that it cannot find the uninstall exe for it so would you like to remove it from the list? but i pressed no and i checked in start menu the uninstall exe was there so i finally removed it and yeah even during the installation the Win7 alerted that it does not have valid signature etc so continue installation anyway. it was a waste of time.

I love Virtual CloneDrive, low cpu usage, small and as effective as any other on the market. Solid programming - And it's free.

Those don't seem to support BluRay disks which is pretty much a requirement these days. This one does:

WinCDEmu - the easiest way to mount an ISO. And more...

I've used it to play BluRay ISO files with no problem on Win7-64.

I don`t know why not use Daemon tools, i use it whole my life and never had problems, but if you don`t like it you can try Virtual CloneDrive.

Whoops - I take it back! I tried WinCDEmu last night on a BluRay disk ISO file and it failed to open it. Not sure why it failed - it had opened that ISO file before. The disk I made from the ISO file plays fine.

So I installed VirtualCLoneDrive and it worked A-OK. So I must retract my endorsement for WinCDEmu (I have uninstalled it) and instead recommend VirtualCloneDrive.

Been using Daemon Tools Lite for a few years. It's free. No problems with it.
