    Pinnacle 10.8 help

I am somewhat of a newb to computers.

I bought studio-10 with 700-usb when i had a xps 400 and the program ran fine. When i upgraded to a computer with windows 7, 64-bit, and AMD phenom(tm) II x4 925 processor 2.80 ghz the program still worked perfectly but the video playback flickers non-stop. I've tried running it in compatibility with vista and windows xp but still no luck.

I've tested the capturing device (Pinnacle 700-usb) with free video capturing software and the playback was fine, no flickering at all.

if anyone can help that be amazing. I need to do video editing for college and can not afford at this time to upgrade the software or hardware.

    HELP!

Regrettably, Pinnacle Studio-10 is not compatible...
Windows 7 Compatibility for Pinnacle studio-10: Drivers, Updates, Downloads

Could you perhaps try Windows Live Moviemaker as an alternative?
