WinRAR Slow in 7?

Anybody else noticed WinRAR is very slow to open up in windows 7 x64? I had been using it for a while on Vista x64 but switched over to 7zip, which is very fast.

How's it running for you? I know i hated the icon for 7zip so i used IconPackager to switch the icon to look like it's WinRAR

AWESOME.

Installed 3.9b4, then Crystal Theme, and it's so fast. You should try out that theme it looks 10 times better then the default one.

Ive always preferred WinRAR to 7zip just because of the GUI (that's the proper term right? haha).

I haven't opened winrar in nearly 8 years.

Just stick to the context menus.

Winrar Only using 2GB ram?
Hey, I often extract batches of big files with winrar. Lately I've been noticing that winrar is only using 2GB (total ram usage) when extracting before the process slows down to clean out the memory (5-10 seconds where it stands stil) and when it's down to 1.6GB it speeds up again. I'm wondering...

So, I have a video file which is 1.6GB. I have archived it with Winrar, so it got 1.4GB. Then I have archived that rar, and now it is 240Mb. Is this even possible... will it go corrupt when extracted?

WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files Now, for 64-bit lovers, out in 64-bit. Also, some changes in context menu integration. Also, some problems were fixed with tar and tar.gz archives that are more than 8GB. I hope you enjoy this release. Later P.S I didn't...
