Powerterm crashes after 17 control key entries

Running Powerterm terminal emulator to telnet to Linux server. Under Windows 7, after 17 control-z.control-c/control-] entries, Powerterm crashes. This does not happen under Windows XP. Always after 17 entries but not necessarily consecutive.

It appears that it is necessary to upgrade to Powerterm Plus. Users of Powerterm Pro get the same problem.
We discovered this by trial and error. Ericom have not provided any useful input.

Well that kinda sucks. I just installed Powerterm Plus (on an eval to test) (9.2), and it still bombs out after a few too many CTL-C's. Not good.

Yes, just confirmed that we get the same problem with Powerterm Plus, Pro, Interconnect and Lite. Would like to switch to another company's product but we have an application that uses the Powerterm Script Language ( and we have problem with that under Windows 7 as well)

Solution in Powerterm Plus!!! Set the Security Type on the Connect screen to 'SSH'
