Uninstalling AMD Core Line, "Getlasterror: 5"

I'm trying to do some cleaning up around my computer, and I have never used the AMD Core Line other than when I first installed it to see what it was. I kept it cuz it looked cool. Now, I want to uninstall it.

I have tried uninstalling both through the Control Panel and through Ccleaner several times already. I keep getting this error, and then a notice that the uninstall has failed. "Error getting file security: C:\ProgramData\DDNi\AMD Core Line\GetLastError: 5"

I also tried a Microsoft "Fix it," for "ProgramInstallUninstallRun" but that was unable to do anything. Any other ideas?

    Error 5 is "access denied"

You may have to take ownership or run the uninstall as administrator.
btw what does AMD core line do? I have a couple of AMD HP PCs and I never heard of it.

    edit: I found this page:

First things first- taking ownership of the DDNi folder, and the AMD Core Line folder inside of that didn't seem to quite do it- but it allowed me to delete the AMD Core Line folder. That worked!

I had ransacked the insides of the AMD Core Line folder, so it wouldn't even run when I wanted to get you guys a screencap. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to try re-installing, then trying to uninstall. But it turns out I was getting the same error when trying to reinstall. That's when I did the take ownerships as stated above.

It's basically a cool-looking toolbar that you can stick anywhere on your desktop, with shortcuts. It came on the mini-disc with my CPU. While it didn't need a driver installed really, this Core Line and an AVG free trial were included here. Here's a pic of it with everything turned on:

Home drop down: News Links, Video links, add line, edit line, remove line
Name drop down: switch profile, edit profile, account info
From the checkmark on: try&buy, marketplace, video, news, AMD extended setup, weatherbug.
It's a cool toy, but not completely necessary. The videos thing did make for 1 interesting afternoon as I browsed their selected youtube clips and let myself be subject to whatever they pulled up. Weather I have a gadget for on my desktop already, and basically anything else I'd rather do in Chrome. I don't mean to knock though. It is pretty cool. Mine is customized to match my NVidia Edition Cooler Master- black, lime green, and grate metal. All of the buttons are customizable; it can hide; be above or below other windows...

    Have fun

Edit: process costs 50K resources. meh.
