i tried it a few weeks ago, without any luck.

can't remember the exact problem now, only that it didn't work.

Thanks Carolyn, I tried it but I get the same problem as earlier:

    Database status : corrupted
    Database release date : unknown

I think the product may be flaky, but this is my 3rd attempt at this without joy. If I do an update, it proceeds along nicely but after getting to 100%, reports not all components were updated.

The Scanning process won't run until the database is updated.

I think the days of Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 are over. I'll keep using F-Secure for now.

    Thanks,
    Golden

I agree with you Golden. The Kaspersky Rescue Disk is probing to be an unreliable product.

Thanks for the confirmation Carolyn. Out of interest, do you recommend anything in particular for bootable disks? F-Secure seems quite good and I have had success with it....

Truth be told, I can't remember the last time I used a rescue disk.

After reading this thread, I would give F-Secure a try if the situation presented itself.
