if that is the only way i can do it. then i will just increase it. then i will just do it the once but enought 2 hold a few games. as games now take between 5-14GB. the primary use of my pc is gaming. im gonna hav 2 are'nt i lol
lol i tried that. ive decided now before everything is back on it im gonna shrink the larger partition by another 50GB then increase C. its best to have 40% free on the system partition isnt it.(i read it somewhere)? do a clean install that way i know where everything is and no odd little files scattered here n there.
There are various views on what size to make the system partition. Choose whatever suits you.

il do that then . i got 2TB of storage. losin 50GB wont b noticed. plus ill end up gettin another hdd at some point.
hav you heard anything about the program mz7 optimizer? for teakin win7. a friend suggested it. ive read a few reviews on it. looks ok but as u say leave the reg cleanerss
cheers chap
edit: i just read up on it and it seems the majority of wot i read says partition 4 windows, games and progs around 140GB. then the rest 4 data stuff

Yes, some of it works OK, some of it is "snake-oil", and some of it is dangerous. Like all "tweakers" and stuff that changes various configurations, or alters the registry, you have to be very careful with it.
If you just blindly apply all the tweaks it will either crash your system or render it unstable.
I don't recommend any of these tools for normal use. They can cause serious problems. None of them will make your machine run any faster, you can only influence that to any degree by upgrading your hardware. Various system and registry tweaks, if you want to use them, are in fact best done manually, one at a time, and tested before you apply any others, and if you don't know what you are doing then you shouldn't even try it on any "production" system, or one you rely on.
You really need a separate machine for playing with things like that. Once it runs well on your test machine, then you can apply it to your "production" machine(s).
